On August 6, 1945 America dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima destroying the city. On August 9, 1945 we dropped a second bomb on Japan destroying the city of Nagasaki. The atomic bomb was so strong that it killed the majority of the people and gave the rest of the people radiation poisoning. We dropped all kinds of bombs on Japan. We dropped a napalm bomb. Napalm is a jelly gasoline that starts fires and explodes so it would stick to their bodies and burn the people. America dropped the atomic bomb so we could end war. It killed many casualties that wasn't necessary. The atomic bomb was very destructive and probably the most destructive bomb there has been. William Leahy said, "The Japanese were already defeated and ready to surrender because of the effective sea blockade and the successful bombing with convential weapons." I agree with him. We shouldn't have dropped those bombs especially the second one.
